Terms and Conditions


1.) Making a Purchase

Making a purchase from our emporium is easy. Just browse our products, click on any items that you wish to buy and put them into the shopping basket. After you have finished your selection, click on “Your Basket” and you will be asked to supply your details.

We do try to ensure that all items on the website are in stock although inevitably sometimes we may run out of stock of some items.

If in the exceptional circumstance that we take your order for an item, but run out of stock prior to your order being dispatched, we will endeavour to email you with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait.

Unfortunately, we are unable to supply products outside the United Kingdom.

2.) Shipping And Handling

Our website will automatically work out appropriate postage and packaging costs. These costs are not negotiable and apply only to England and Wales.

Shipping cost:

0 – 1kg   £3.78

1 – 2kg   £4.99

2 – 5kg   £6.50

Over  5kg   £8.28

Wherever possible we use recycled packaging.

For shipping costs to the Scottish Highlands and Islands and Northern Ireland, please email for a quote.

Shipping costs are for delivery on a weekday only. For weekend deliveries please email for quote.

 3.) Delivery

Your order will normally be dispatched within 1 working day of receipt of payment.

We will deliver the goods to the address provided by you when you place your order.

We are not able to guarantee a delivery date or time. Please allow 10 working days for delivery before contacting us.

4.) Liability

If the goods we deliver are not what you ordered or are damaged or defective or the delivery is of an incorrect quantity, we shall have no liability to you unless you notify us in writing (e.g. by email) at our contact address of the problem within 5 working days of the delivery of the goods in question.

If you do not receive goods ordered by you within 14 days of the date on which you ordered them, we shall have no liability to you unless you notify us in writing at our contact address of the problem within 28 days of the date on which you ordered the goods.

If you notify a problem to us under this condition our only obligation will be, at your option:-

a) to make good any shortage or non-delivery,
b) to replace or repair any goods that are damaged or defective,
c) to refund to you the amount paid by you for the goods in question in whatever way we choose.

Save as precluded by law, we will not be liable to you for any indirect or consequential loss, damage or expenses (including loss of profits, business or goodwill) howsoever arising out of any problem you notify to us under this condition and we shall have no liability to pay any money to you by way of compensation other than to refund to you the amount paid by you for the goods in question under paragraph c) above.

You must observe and comply with all applicable regulations and legislation to purchase goods from our site.

Notwithstanding the foregoing, nothing in these terms and conditions is intended to limit any rights you might have as a consumer neither under applicable local law or other statutory rights that may not be excluded nor in any way to exclude or limit our liability to you for any death or personal injury resulting from our negligence.

5.) Information we collect about you

We will use the information that we collect about you in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998 and the Privacy and Electronic Communications (EC Directive) Regulations 2003.

The details which you provide about yourself and any other information which identifies you, for example your name, address, e-mail address, telephone number, payment card details (“Personal Information”) are held on our computer systems. Your Personal Information is used for operational purposes, for example processing your registration, making products, arranging deliveries, processing payments and contacting you in relation to your order. We only retain your credit card or billing account details to process the specific payment transaction for which you supplied them. We will retain a receipt of your order when you have placed it.

We will not pass your Personal Information to third parties with the exception of instances where we use a third party service provider to perform services for us, for example to make product deliveries. They will only have access to the Personal Information needed to perform the services and they will not use your Personal Information for any other purpose.

We will give you notice where we share your Personal Information other than above, for example for marketing purposes, and you will be given the opportunity to confirm that you are happy for your Personal Information to be used in this way.

We will provide you with details of the information that we hold about you upon your request. We may charge a fee for providing this information of up to £10 for each request.

6.) Cookies

7.) Returns Policy

At The Vintage Wash House we understand that sometimes you may wish to return an item.

Please notify us by email within 14 days of receiving your order:

For damaged items, we will offer you a full refund or exchange at no extra cost to you.

If you’ve just changed your mind, we will request that you return the item, unused and in its original packaging. On receipt we will issue your refund (excluding postage).
